PROGRAM RATIONALE:
This program of studies was framed to develop the analytical and scholarly approach for critically assessing research and practices while also allowing a deeper understanding of self-regulated learning. While my interest in self-regulation persists, the engagement theory has become a major research focus for the dissertation requirement. I chose educational psychology as my primary specialization in order to acquire a better understanding of the principles of learning, cognition, and motivation. Research Methods is the secondary field intended to broaden my research skills to better understand and implement interventions to positively impact outcomes of students. The projected date for completing the program of studies is scheduled for the year 2016.
